The Hammerhead Shark is a fish species easily recognizable by the large flattened extensions of its head, with the eyes on the sides. The shape of his head allows him to take very tight turns. It can measure up to 16 feet long and weigh nearly 330 pounds. Hammerhead Sharks are found in all tropical oceans and shallow coastal waters. It feeds mainly on squids, octopus and crustaceans. Young individuals band together while adults are rather solitary.
